Make a Sheep With Me

I’m excited to announce I will be teaching a class! On June 14th at 5:30 PM, I plan to be at the Artful Abode in Lebanon, TN, showing anyone interested how to make a little needle-felted sheep. The class is open to sixteen students over the age of thirteen (just because of the sharp needles). All necessary materials will be provided, although if you do have your own fiber or felting tools you would like to work with, feel free to bring them. The wool will be from the Jacob sheep my sister and I raised on Our Father’s Gift Farm and all three natural colors will be available: white, gray, and black. You can see a sample of the wool below.

This class is geared toward beginners, but open to any skill level. The goal is to complete the miniature sheep, which can be used as an ornament, keychain decoration, or just a cute little animal friend. If some students cannot finish the project during the class, they will be able to take home and complete it in their own time. In addition, if anyone works quickly, they will be able to try out other projects. The class is just supposed to be a fun, relaxed time to get together, try a new skill, and learn more about fiber arts.

You can sign up for tickets here.

I hope you all will be able to attend! To inspire your creativity, here are some photos of previous felting projects I’ve completed.

And finally, the stars of the show… the sheep!
